Rev. Lord James Shaffer (born 1910)[1] is an African American religious leader, and pastor who has led the Church of Universal Triumph, Dominion of God, Inc. from Prophet Jones death in 1971 until present.
In 1971 he was named by the Dominion Council and Board of Trustees, Dominion Ruler. He also had served as an assistant to Prophet Jones, and administer of the Universal Missionary Church.
He and his wife Rev. Princess Maggie Shaffer came to Detroit in 1943. Once they arrived they decided to hear the God’s holy prophet. In a past meeting someone had asked him to pray and speak but he ran out the front door. At one particular service Prophet Jones stated, “There’s a young man here running from God.” As result, Rev. Shaffer thought to himself that if Jones meant him he'd better come down and get him.
